Planning consents come rolling in
We are pleased to report that detailed planning consent has been gained over the past few weeks for a number of projects including the Innovation Centre at Haverhill Research Park (pictured above) and the new Treatt headquarters at Suffolk Park.
At Haverhill the 30,000 sq ft four-storey ‘EpiCentre’ development that was previously planned for the centre of the Research Park will now be located on Plot 100 overlooking the spirit of enterprise roundabout, where it will have maximum visual impact, creating a prominent ‘landmark’ building at the entrance to the town. As previously the development will comprise high specification offices and dry R&D accommodation in a range of sizes, together with conference and meetings rooms, training facilities, a ‘work-hub’ area, and a café with outdoor terrace. At present an application has been made to the Combined Authority / Business Board Local Enterprise Partnership for a Capital Funding Grant towards the cost of the building, and subject to approval of this facility the construction will start on site later this year.
At Suffolk Park the Treatt plc headquarters will include offices, manufacturing, logistics and a warehousing facility for the global flavour and fragrance solutions company. Totalling 112,000 sq ft as a first phase (with provision to expand up to 200,000 sq ft in a later phase), the project is due to start on site in July and will be operational in May 2020.
On both projects the extensive landscape works will be overseen by Indigo during construction, and we look forward to seeing the sites open for business next year.
