The refurbishment of Normand Croft School’s playground was developed following detailed consultation with the children, staff and other stakeholders; all coordinated by Felicity Robinson from Landscapes Naturally.

The scheme uses a rich variety of texture, colours and materials to create a playful and visually exciting new playground while incorporating previously underused areas. A new community garden and ‘farm’ have been created as the heart of the school grounds, while an interactive boundary forms the backbone of the playground. This uses the children’s artwork, level changes, ‘peek-throughs’, and climbing challenges to encourage interaction between children of different ages.
