Private Estate, Dorset

Working to a previous designer’s masterplan, Indigo provided detailed designs and oversaw the implementation for this large historic estate and formal garden in east Dorset. The design features beautifully detailed terrace walls and stone paths linking a series of formal garden rooms, and connecting with an informally managed countryside garden. Colourful perennial borders and fountains by the renowned sculptor William Pye are positioned to draw visitors through the garden with large formal lawns and terraces overlooking the dramatic countryside.

The scheme includes an extensive variety of external spaces, including courtyards, gardens, meadows, an orchard and sensitively designed car parking set into the sloping site.
