Salisbury Cemetery – Phase 2 appointment

Indigo have been working with Salisbury City Council on the design and implementation of a new multi-faith cemetery to provide essential new burial capacity for both Salisbury and Wilton.  Our appointment included the full scope of service from concept design through to implementation; including the coordination and submission of a detailed planning application to Wiltshire Council.

The design seeks to exploit the gently sloping topography and rural edge location; introducing a landscape framework for the cemetery that provides an appropriate formality set within a more informal landscape structure of native trees, hedgerows and managed grassland margins.

Planting is now underway on the site and we are very pleased to have been appointed on the next phase of the project which includes the design of a memorial garden shelter.
