Walcot Square shortlisted for two prestigious awards
We were delighted to find out that Walcot Square mews, a small residential scheme in London, has been shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards. In this year’s British Homes Awards it has been shortlisted in the Development of the Year (up to 20 homes) category and in the AJ Architecture awards it has been shortlisted in the Development Of The Year (under £5m) section.
Working with Form Studio Indigo provided landscape design input for this high quality development of an innovative terrace of five houses and a detached ‘Garden House’ commissioned by The Walcot Foundation, a charitable foundation that aims to tackle poverty by creating opportunity. The nature of the location, a brownfield site in a conservation area sandwiched between Georgian and Victorian Grade II listed terraces, brought additional challenges and called for a considered and sympathetic approach.
We are so pleased that this project is in the running for these awards and we have got our fingers crossed for later in the year when the winners will be announced.
